Sizes of mobiles?/Two story mobiles?

We have a mid-80's model Fleetwood mobile home, 14x72, on a private lot. We have updated it some, but are considering other options.
Option #1) Buy new home that is same size as existing home. Do they still make new ones in that size? We have to stay with this size (or smaller) due to zoning restrictions.
Option #2) Hubby has heard about 2 story mobile homes. Do they exist? Where can I find out more about them?
Also, how do we find out what our current place is worth? Is there a Blue Book for mobile homes?
Thanks for your help!

yes, the still make 14 x 72' homes.
two story manufactured homes are fairly common, but generally they are two boxes on top of two boxes on the bottom.
I have however seen a few 16' wide two story homes.
Check with the dealers in your area to see if you have manufacturers the do it.
if you are in the north east or west coast, there are plenty, the south and mid west might be harder.
There is a NADA manufactured housing appraisal guide for values of older homes. call them at 800-966-6232 for a copy, or call local real estate brokers, they should have one.

You can order a manufactured housing book value report on line for quieet a bit less then it will cost to purchase the book. These reports are based on the information that you submit about your home. A Value Report is returned to your e-mail in about 3 days
Remeber that a book value is not a full appraisal. It can not consider the value of your land or the most important factore LOCATION. So, the results should not be relied on for major decisions. but it will give you an idea of what your homes is selling for at retailer locations across the country.

Silvercrest and Fleetwood both manufacture 2 story homes now. Or if your existing home is in good condition and you still like it you could consider building a second story cabana addition over it. I just finished 2 of them and it resulted in an addition of 2 bedroom, a master bath, a large front balcony, a bottom and upper story exterior deck and an enclosed stariwell conjoining the lower and upper story.
