Trying to sell

Post by opalellen » Sat Nov 11, 2006 9:56 am

This maybe a long story but here goes! My mother is 77 years old and needs to get out of her MH ASAP. We have some issues and questions that we are having trouble getting answered. Located in MN.

1. Seems she bought this MH without it being anchored down. We have been told that it is law that they be anchored. She can't afford to get it fixed. Is it true that it is law and what do you think we should do?

2. She owes as much as she would get for it using a relator and want to try selling it herself. Any suggestions on how to make this work?

3. Are there companies out there that would purchase it so we wouldn't have to put in out there and sell it ourselves.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The ruels for installaton are different in each state... most do require anchors. To get a better idea of what is required in your state contact

The Minnesota Manufactured Housing Assn.
1540 Humboldt Ave, Suite 205
West St. Paul MN 55118-3481
651-450-4700
651-450-1110 fax

You can list your home for sale by owner, online at The Manufactured Housing Multiple Listing Service for a flat $39.95, for as long as it takes to sell... give it a try. At that price you cant go wrong.

If your looking for a quick sale call a local MH retailer and see if they are interested in buying it... just be ready to sell for a low proce as the delaer will need to make a profit when he resells.
