As a first time home buyer are there any downpayment assistance programs for Manufactured Homes?

Yes.....FHA lenders all can direct you to down payment assistance programs that will minimize your cash requirement...In addition almost all state housing authorities have programs that are geared toward modular homes...In GA you can get up to $20,000 toward the required cash...The other state I deal in SC will advance auto $4500.00...Both programs are modular home only...

Any dealer with his salt will be familiar with all programs available in your area......Go for it...

R, once again I come to you for help!
From reading some of your posts here, I think you are a Florida resident??
If so, or even if not but you know about FL programs, I was told by a major lender who is listed as a "First Time Homebuyer Program" lender, that manufactured housing is not included in the program & that no down payment assistance is available. She also told me that you can't believe the information on the floridahousing.org site. Was she wrong? Should I call another of the lenders that they list?
Thanks again for your knowledge.
Karen

I lived in and sold homes in Florida for over 24 years..Currently I live and work in Augusta, GA...
Down payment assistance programs are national in scope...Not state specific..As far as I know there are no programs for used homes on leased land..There are many programs with only 5% down requirements...Often in retirement areas like Bare Foot Bay there will be local banks who have special programs for folks in these very nice parks...Or better yet you can go to the finance section of this web site and ask for lending solutions..the best part is all the lenders who help support this site specialize in manufactured homes and welcome your business...Good luck..Post your questions here often...
