CROSS-OVER VENT

I HAVE ACROSS-OVER VENT IN THE FRONT OF MY RAMA BUILT MOBILE HOME!!

IS THIS AN EQUALIZER TYPE VENT OR IS IT EQUALIZER TYPE DEFICE...

CAN IT BE REMOVED???

THE REASON I AM ASKING IS IT IS BETWEEN THE CONNECTION OF THE TWO HALFS OF THE HOUSE AND IT IS SPILLING AIR OUT THREW THE UNDERSIDE OF THE HOUSE???

PLEASE ADVISE OR PLEASE CALL..

If you are speaking to the flexible cross over duct, this is strictly an avenue of air flow from one side to the other. It MUST NOT have any holes, or tears. Not only will you be paying for energy you are not using, but may have serious consequences later on, it the performance of the home.

Small breaks in the flex duct can be repaired with duct tape... if the holes are big it is not difficult to replace the entire flex line. The flex comes in different sizes... usually 10, 12 or 14 inches for a cross over. You can find it locally at many home repair or air supply stores or order online from the MH PARTS STORE
