stick on tiles

I want to know if I can use the stick on tiles over top of the exsiting lanolium? Sorry about the spelling

The floor vinyl in your home is probably not glued to the floor, but attached at the perimeter and at the heat registers and plumbing openings only. This means that the new tiles will similarly not be attached to anything but the vinyl. They will cover the floor, but will not perform well.

I've done it, and it came out reasonably well. Slight gaps did form between some of the tiles. But if it's an inexpensive experiment, go for it.
