data compliance certificate

Post by sue Stafford » Sun Mar 19, 2006 4:00 pm

We are in the process of selling our 1995 Fleetwood Crownpointe. I can't seem to find the location of the compliance certificate or data plate located on the interior of the home. I found the HUD label on the exterior, but not the interior info. I needed to know the location where it can be found? If I am unable to locate it, is there any where I can get another copy? PLEASE HELP!

Thank You,
Sue Stafford

Fleetwood generally glues theirs to the wall in the master bedroom closet.

I think we replaced the sheet of sheetrock it was on. Any advice on where I can get another copy?

Most Fleetwood plants that I have visited also staple a copy to the inside cover of the installation manual.
I would also look inside the kitchen cabinets, under the sink, and over the range.

From IBITS the official HUD information contractor...

If I have a HUD certification label, and I want to verify its accuracy or find out more about my home (such as the date of manufacture or the manufacturer's name) if the data plate is missing, what should I do?
A: Follow the same procedure as you would to request a verification letter from IBTS. Call (703) 481-2010, e-mail [email protected], or by using our online verification form.

Find a link to the form on this page...

From the web site mentioned above...

A verification letter can be issued by IBTS when homeowners provide identifying information concerning their homes. At a minimum, you must have available either the HUD certification label number or the manufacturer and age of your home with the complete serial number, as pictured below. (This number may be either vertical or horizontal.)

FHA inspectors do inspect the condition of the home...Siding will have to be weather tight and still serve its purpose...They will inspect to be sure foundation meets the FHA standards which are somewhat rigorous...Call an inspector and ask what it is they will be looking for....Remember all they have to sell is information..expertise and time...Do not expect them to do a free inspection...
