HELP I'M SO LOST. WE JUST GOT A NEW PALM HARBOR AND I HAVE TONS OF QUESTIONS. BUT I WILL ONLY ASK ONE FOR NOW. THE TILE IN THE KITCHEN AND THE ENTRY WAY DO NOT SEEM TO HAVE HARDYBOARD OR ANYTHING BETWEEN THE FLOOR AND TILE. IS THIS NORMAL? WE GOT THE UPGRADED 2X8? FLOOR, BUT THE PLYWOOD IS SO UNEVEN THROUGHOUT THAT IT CONCERNS ME THAT THE TILE WILL CRACK WITH THE UNEVEN PLYWOOD UNDER IT. I HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT TILE SO I AM A LITTLE CONCERNED. ANY INPUT WOULD BE HELPFUL. MY HUSBAND AND THE CARPET LAYER BOTH THINK THAT THERE SHOULD BE HARDYBOARD UNDER THE TILE, BUT WHY WOULDN'T THEY PUT THERE TO BEGIN WITH? HELP!!PLEASE!! THANK YOU

The best place to get EXACT answer to your questions..is from the toll free number in your owners manual or from your locations general manager...Be sure to tell them what the carpet guy said..He must be new installing carpet for PH...PH has a specialized glue designed specifically to install tile directly onto top grade sub-floor..as your home has....Your floor is at least 3/4 inch thick and you floor joist are on 16 inch centers just so there are no weak spots in the floor..The carpet guy must most often work on homes with 24 inch centers where this extra cost might be needed..
Be assured that you have a 5 year protection plan that does cover this type of thing...In the last 5 years PH has built thousands of homes this way and have very little problems...The engineers are very aware of the 5 years protection plan and are careful to be sure PH will not go broke taking care of problems...the best way to offer the best warranty is to build it right in the first place...Please get your info from the plant or your general manager or your personal construction manager of your factory FTO tech (final trim out tech...this is the fellow that did the finish in the home)...Call any of the above with any and EVERY concern you might have..They will answer any question you have
Now Enjoy your new home..you made a great decision..you have a great home..Relax and Enjoy

THANK YOU FOR THE INFO
ONE MORE QUESTION, ABOUT THE 5 YEAR PROTECTION PLAN. I WAS NOT AWARE OF THIS! I WAS UNDER THE INPRESSION THAT AFTER ONE YEAR PH WAS NOT REPONSABLE FOR ANYTHING. IS THIS SOMETHING DIFFERENT?

All PH have this plan...I assume you did not get your home from a Palm Harbor owned store..you should have had a "warranty close" that should have had a full explanation of your warranty and plan...You would have seen a 15 minute video about the plan....
PH's new home warranty is for 1 year..then there is an additional 4 years of the protection plan...The last 4 years have a deductible of $50....That is why it is not called a warranty...
Go here and read the question about how we compare with the competition...It clearly mentions the 5 years plan...
