Hi,
I have a very old bathtub and I have to replace/fix the drain. But, the tub is flush against the wall. It looks like the tub has had a covering put over it since when I look at the tub while in the bathroom I see a covering all the way down to the floor. But, from the adjoining bedroom when I look at the tub through a hole made in the wall I see an old fashion tub with four legs and no covering on this side of the tub.
My question is this. How can I raise the tub or move it to the center of the bathroom so I can get to the side of the tub that is flush against the wall to see the drain and be able to work with it without breaking the cover? Is the cover strong enough for me to pry a knive between it and the floor and wedge a board or something under it to lift it. Will the cover break?
Any suggestions you might have will be helpful...many thanks.
