Permanent Foundations

I have heard that having a manufactured home on a permanent foundation is a better way to have your home hld an increase it's value...the question is, what is considered a permanent foundation?? we are considring putting an 2006 triple w/ a 24/35 garage on 1 1/2 acres ( that has a great view) and i am concerned with resale value. Can you help....

Check with you lender also as they might have some requirement to what type of foundation.

If your builder is any good they should know that permanent foundations must meet HUD/FHA standards. If they don't know, get another builder. You can also contact any structural engineering firm. They know all about them.

I have a client who has a ERB (Earthquake Resistant Bracing) System on their property. Does that count as a perm foudation?

Ask your underwriter ans appraiser..They are the ones with the checkbook..
