our mobile home furnace runs correctly but then it takes spells and then the fan starts to turn on and off and on and off what is the problem and what can we do ourselves about it ie: what part can we relplace

Mine does that too-but ONLY when I jerk the thermostat up several degrees. For instance, if I come home from work and it's 60 in the house and I want it to be 65, it'll do what yours does if I immediately set the thermostat on 65. But if I just nudge it upward enough to make it come on, it runs fine. I repeat until I have the place as warm as I want it. It NEVER acts up when I do it this way. Don't have an explanation--but in my case I can live with it--it's done it for years.
