We have a blower to help the heat from the fire place circulate and it stopped working. How do we get to it and what might be wrong with it?

I hate when that happens!!!!

The bottom front grill on MOST MH fireplaces pulls off, you should find all the wiring and often the blower in there. If your hearth extension covers the bottom of the grill, you will need to remove that as well.

A customer called recently to report that the blower wasn't working on the fireplace in her new home. I put her on hold to get a service work order form and picked up the call again. I asked if it went out while running or it just wouldn't turn on this time, etc. After a few minutes of trying to troubleshoot over the phone she asked me to hurry up because her cell phone was about to die and since the power was out she wouldn't be able to recharge it. I asked her if the blower had gone out about the same time the power did. She didn't even hesitate. "Yes".
Note to customers: If the power is out and you are using the fireplace for heating the blower will not work!

Good story...Reminds me of one where a telephone computer support person got fired from one of the largest computer companies...When the customer explained the computer was not working and he could not see the screen to because the power was off...the tech calmly told him to put the puter back in the box it came in and return it to the factory...simply cause thew customer was too dumb to own one...Poor guy got fired for being nasty...Good you held your tongue....
Great story for the future...Thank her she has given you something to talk about for the next 20 years....Sell something today..
