Want to put a floating lamanate floor down. What can we fill the gap with where the two trailers come together?

You mean 'cause old habbits are hard to break your not going to answer my question? This home, when your inside, makes you feel that you are in a very very expensive custom built home. I like it better than most. It's more awesome than anything I thought I would have in this day and time. But, it's a repo and it needs some fixing up and I thought this was an awesome web site that I found that's a place to go and ask questions of from time to time. So, I apoligize for saying the "T" word (I don't really think of it as that anyway) and can someone answer my question of what would be a good filler for the gap of where the two sections come together? It is really quite a large gap, and the floors are plywood. And thank you for a web site that can help you with your problems.

I'd say dense foam, perhaps. If the gap is smaller than 1/2", I wouldn't bother with anything. The two TRAILER halves are bolted together with lag bolts, and the floor floats, so movement should be next to nothing (my ceiling is sheetrock - it doesn't crack). Does that sound like an answer?

Sorry about that..just a thing with me...you will like it better when you think of your home as a house....instead of something meant to be on a hitch behind a pick up truck...Mac is right spray foam..trimmed with a knife after install should do the trick.....

Thanks, that sounds good! My ceiling is sheetrock too and my walls and the move caused the sheetrock to crack in some places on the walls.

Re: sheetrock: Moving will do that, but then it will be fine if patched after. When ours was set, the sheetrock for the final 6" of gap on each side was added after; then plastic was laid out, and the taping and texturing was done. We have nary a crack - in fact, the only way one can tell where the sections join is that the wall is 9" thick.
