Extended warranties are limited...They usually only cover basic structure ans sometimes the systems of the home..They do not cover trim..molding carpet, wear items, glass, or appliances......but after the 1st year there will be a deductible from $50 to $100...Some of these are per item (1 trip 3 items is $300) some of these are per trip...You can go to another section of this web site and buy an extended warranty on any new home for a few hundred dollars...Remember if the warranty is by the manufacturer it is good only as long as they thrive..Oakwood had long term warranties on their product..but when they went bankrupt..it went away..Of course..those with insurance companies can have complicated claims procedures...No warranty absolves the home owner of the responsibility to care for their home....
