How is the square footage measured on a mobile home?

Most factories advertise the square footage as the floor length time the floor width.....28x76..commonly called a 28x80 will be about 2128....Some plants quote the square footage by measuring the room inside the walls...so some 28x80's are quoted as 2027 sq ft....A few of the deceptive companies quote the size under the roof which includes the space under the overhangs bloting the figure beyond what it really is..about 2200 sq. ft....Some dealers advertise the full size 28x80 as 2240 sq. ft. which of cxourse is wrong..unless you can figure how to live in the hitch which will be removed...The most honest dealers and factrries will quote the most conservative which is for the space you can actually use....Total floor space not counting the walls.......
