HI, First time post. Sure hope someone out there can help me. I have an 1986 mobile home. I bought it used and when putting skirting on it I saw some boards that were rotten. Thinking that they were only facing boards I didn't really worry about it and just went ahead with my skirting, nailing new boards over the other.

Well, I have since learned that the boards that are rotted around my mobile home are not facing boards. They are the board, which I think are 2 x 6's which sit on the metal frame under the house, which is a single wide, and support the floor and walls.

My walls have sagged approximately 2" maybe more. I need to know how to make this repair.

Also, if there is an agency someone might know about that would help me with this expense I would appreciate that info as well.

I am a do it yourself granny with a disability and really could stand some help to get this fixed.

It sounds like you are decribing the floor joist of the home. I would not suggest that this is a Do-It-Yourself Project.
This is a doable project, but you need an experienced professional.
Most importantly, find out why the floor joist rotted, it is possible the floor decking and even the wall studs are rotted as well.

I believe it rotted because of water getting to it through the nail holes through the siding wish is defective. The siding is the stuff that's the same as particle board.

I have seen some of the studs and some are good other are rotted about 4" up to a foot from the floor.

If you have rotted wall studs as well, you also have to have mold in the insulation.
You need to contact a professional to deal with these issues.
