electric furnace VS heat pump

we live in a newer double wide with an oil furnace and central air. with rising fuel costs we are considering going with either an electric furnace or keeping the existing furnace and getting a heat pump. Any advise?

Most oil furnaces are in the far North...If this is where you are the heat pump probably will not save much...Have a reputable heating dealer do an energy analysis for you home and then decide...I doubt electric would be much cheaper..We are all Katrina victims..maybe FEMA will help.....
