Foundations

Hi,
I'm glad I found this site today. There is so much information here but I haven't seen the topic that I need.
We have a 96 skyline double wide. It was customer built to our specs. It has an open floor plan, textured plaster walls etc... I am very disappointed in the dealer that sold us this house. I have regretted it since the first Spring. Here's why- which leads to my question:
When we bought the house no one ever so much as suggested we go the extra expense of putting in a foundation. We have alot of problems with cracks in the plaster. they have been fixed over and over again. I want to know if it is possible to now put this house on a foundation. We have contacted construction companies in our area and have recieved conflicting information. It seems to me that this should not be a big deal and could maybe be done 2 different ways- one roll the house back, put in the foundation and roll the house onto the foundation, or lift it off with a crane and lift it back onto the new foundation. I thought I should ask you, so I can get the correct answer from an expert before going on a wild goose chase. Also, if this can be done, can you give me an idea of time frame and cost?
I'm in the Binghamton,NY area in case you need to know.
When you reply, please send a copy to my e-mail address. Thanks!
