My home has been releveled three times in the last year and a half.

The first time I was told to put on rain gutters and I did then I was told to taper off the ground next to the trailer away from the trailer then I was told to put new skirting around the trailer. I also calked around the top of the runner for the skirting.

I have done all of this spending thousands of dollars and I have a need to relevel again?

During a rain storm I walked around the home to see if water was running under the home anywhere and could not see it. Water appeared to be running away from the home rather well. After the storm the ground around the trailer dried up faster from the trailer to about 2 ft out.
The ground under the trailer is very dry I had the insurance man look at it with me and he could not understand why it was in need of releveling again.

I have black clay type soil on my farm.

I need help I can not keep releveling this house every 6 months

Charles, please answer for us three questions. How far out of level is it? What type of footing/foundation does your blocking sit on? Describe the topography? ( in other words paint us a picture of the ground it sits on).

The soil is black clay, the footings are 2x2 every two to three feet with cinder blocks on top. the last time it was out of level they had to raise it two inches. The ground under the trailer is very dry and has cracks throughout however that ground is very hard as well.

How do you tell that it is out of level? From your description of the soil, it sounds like a "swelling" sort of clay, that is it thoroughly cracks when dry. If it stays dry, then it should not have moved. We generally place homes on 4-5 inches of "road-base".

I have placed 4 t post in the ground. One on each corner and from this I can tell that it has moved. The last time it moved so much so fast the wall separated at in the middle of the trailer the length of the trailer.

Wouls I be better off to pull a bunch of the front blocks and replace with a rock base and the lay a railrod ties down and then level from those replaceing the front row of blocks?
