We are land owners in az. when we buy manufactured home do we have to pay sales tax, this will be real property on a permanent foundation.
please help this can cost an increase of six thousand dollars in price.

Yes, you'll have sales tax on the sale of the house... There's generally state & county and depending where you buy there could be a city tax also.

You should check with your states department of rervenue...

In most state they will tax you...In many states modular homes have no additional sales tax ( the materials are taxed as they are bought by the plant ) Sales tax is built into the sales price...

Ifd you buy manufactured home..be sure you have a good income tax advisor...Sales tax is once again deductable on your federal return....

In California, sales tax is the dealer's responsibility so it is built into the price of the home. Check with your dealer and ask the question.
