Dealer flooring

Does anyone have any information on how a dealer can obtain the flooring they need for the homes they buy? My friend has currently opened her own manufactured home dealership with me as the project/transaction coordinator. We are in California. I know that Bombardier use to provide a line of flooring for dealers but I cannot find any information on them. We will be selling new homes both in land owned parks and private property. I have one company that will work with us for the construction side but so far nothing for the home side. Any suggestions would be appreciated or if you know how to contact Bombardier it would be wonderful. Thanks a lot! Linda

Here is a list that we compiled several months ago, probably needs some updating.

National 616-364-1000
Textron 800 205 3944

If you know of any other sources please post them here.

In addition to the national lenders listed here and rmurray's excellent suggestion, may I suggest you check with local banks who are already doing floorplans for vehicle dealerships? Local banks will often offer terms unavailable elsewhere, and will often work with a new business when many of the nationals won't. One last source of information. Check with the retail installment lenders you are set up to doing business with. If you are working with a home lender who wants to bring you more than just a source of retail paper, they should already know who is handling inventory financing in your area, and be prepared to discuss them with you.

Apparently GE just bought Bombardier. Your sales rep should have referred you for flooring.

Thanks to everyone for their help. I'm going to be giving the companies above a call today. I know that Bombardier and Textron are two big flooring companies here in the Southern California area so I will be trying them first. I'll keep you posted to as any success we have. Again, thanks so much.
