I am trying to compare between a dutch manufactured home and a westfield by fairmont manufactured home. The floor plan is almost identical and the construction seems to be fairly similar with only a few differences. The main difference is price. The home by fairmont is approximately $14,000.00 more than the one by dutch. Is there that much of a difference between the two manufacturers? Which would be the better company to go with based on reputation and quality?

You should be spending much more attention to the dealer..The lowest price is not always the best deal..The dealer will be your contact point for future attention

sunshine homes is the biggest bang for the buck hands down. price, product and service.

Seems like the Fairmont dealer is trying to gross you. Look and see if the dealer provides more services or onsite options. This may have something to do with the differences. Have you looked at Redman homes product? Check them out!

Skyline Corp doesnt use plastic junk like plastic sink, tub,or light fixtures. I give Skyline my thumbs up.

I OWN A FAIRMONT HOME THEY WILL BE THERE TO MAKE YOU HAPPY, THE QUALITY IS GOOD AND SO IS THE CONSTRUCTION.

We are getting an estimate on a skyline model that we drew up on our own. We have also given the plan to a few other companies such as Nobel and jacobson. It seems that skyline may be the one of the lower bids. Would appreciate hearing form you as too any experience that you have with Skyline. I liked the looks of it and it seemed to have good R values in the floor, celing and walls. Not the best but good.

We own both a Skyline & a Fairmount Home...They both build a quality home, and there are many items that we like about both. Overall I believe Skyline has a little bit more attention to detail. Their service department has been excellent. We also had a great experience with our dealer, which was the main reason we purchased the Skyline home as our primary residence. We live in the northeast and our Skyline home was built in the Effrata, PA plant. Good Luck with you decisions.

I can't believe anyone would suggest redman. I have a 97 redman they do not stand behind there product and it is cheap junk, ( plastic sink's and pipe's, carboard cabinet's) nothing is what it seem's on it and the wall's are paper thin sheet rock with no wood on the outside only the siding insulation then the wall. Let's talk window's maybe storm window's cause that's what you get for inside and out. And from experience I know how warm they are with a heating bill of 1800.for 3 month's Where did you get your's.
