Wanted to know what everyone thought about Calvalier homes. I am just looking for a very small double wide less that 1200 feet. I am in Oklahoma so the ones that I will be looking at will be coming from either the Ft. Worth plant (the ones that are left) or one from an Alabama plat. This will just be a starter home and then will be moved down to a lake lot.
I know that Palm Harbor are suppose to be the best, but I'm not really looking to spend that much for a manufactured home. Any advice would be great. Thanks so much.

Re: cavalier mobile home
Not to be negative right off the bat...but,
as a current owner of a Cavalier double wide, I would not recommend anyone to purchase one. I'm sure, no matter where you go, there will be homes that have/come with problems...but,
the first three years of being in our home, there has been numerous problems that we've ended up having to get legal guidance on.

Re: cavalier mobile home
I can say that I've lived in a Cavalier double-wide for 9 years. The only thing I've replaced was the kitchen faucet and two doorknobs. It's a solid house--just make sure you get wood cabinets and not that pressboard stuff--they peel.

If you're in the Kingsport area, check with Jim Kinser at Turnkey homes on Stone drive in Kingsport.
