In the process of purchasing my first mobile home (too old to build another site built house) and need to know the best type of foundation to use to make the home permanent. In Georgia there is a tax advantage to coverting a mobile home to real property (I own the land). I want more than stacked concrete blocks.

Look at www.mobilehomefoundations.com Their advanced foundation systems were designed and engineered for manufactued homes. These foundation systems add a high level of strutural stability and have proven most cost-effective for the manufactured home, buyer.

Permanrent doundation means different things to different folks...Most important the foundation must conform to the sert up manual requirements..mostr foundations that are "permanent inviolve piers of concrete blocks...most often they are plced on properly sized poured concrte footers...If you want to do it very right tell the delaer you want an FHAS approved foundation....This will be designed and inspected by an FHA listred engineer or inspector...These almost always will have a block or brick perimeter wall...If you do this you will have a very marketable home when resale time comes...
Tax officials will always find a way to get you trhe bill in GA...If you make the home part of your real estae you will be abvle to take the homestead exemption and any other discounts that might folloe in the future...
