I've purchased a repo 1996 mobile home. Can I get history/report on this home via serial number?

No i am afraid not...even carfax on autos is in a lot of controversy lately...there is no reliable info available...

You can probably get title history from the local title office...showing the ownership changes and lien info...Most states will offer this info..
