Has anyone heard of spontaneous combustion occurring between exterior hardboard siding and the wood frame? I had a small fire occur this week - fortunately discovered before getting more serious. There are no wires or other obvious ignition sources in this wall area. I'm concerned about the siding that has many decayed dry rot areas along bottom edge. This is a 1994 Fleetwood doublewide and it has the particleboard type siding.
Any other info about the bad siding problems would also be appreciated.
