I am wanting to take 2 single wide trailers and place them side by side, connecting them in such a way that i can build a roof over the both of them, and cut out door ways from one trailer to another in such a way that you can not tell that either house was ever separate from the other, has this ever been done and is it even legal? (I live WAY out in the country)

Legal?Insurabl?,Sellable? Probably not if you have any local building codes.Some people seem to think this is a good idea for one reason or another.If you build it so its structurally sound and looks like a single unit it would cost you more in money and trouble then it would be ever worth.
