Roof replacement

I am moving my 10 yr old Double wide MH . I would like to put the new metal roof that is so poplar over my existing roof. Have a Chandleur and wanted to know if the the frame can support the metal roof. Thanks for any responses

Elvira, you may want to consider removing the existing roof. Adding the additional weight of the metal roof, can possible cause some structural problems in the future.

Nick is wrong in his assumptions. We own quiet a few manufactrured homes that we rent out and have covered most of the older shingle roofs with metal roof overs and have never had a structural probelm of any type. There are dozens of systems designed specificaly for roofing over existing metal and/or shingle roofs on manufactured homes.
