I have a Fleetwood 14x80 and I would like to put in a ventless gas fireplace. Should I? I'mnot sure to go ventless or to have it vented. It would be nice to be able to mave it if I want to, that's why I'm looking for ventless. Are they sfe in a MH?

A couple of thoughts:
First, the HUD code prohibits ventless heat producing appliances.
Second, Fleetwood may not honor the warranty should you have certain problems that might reflect a cahnge in air quality.
Third, if you do go ventless, make sure you have CO2 detectors installed and allow for plenty of frsh air into the home.

Hi, thanks for your reply. One more question-= what about a vented fireplace? Any problems with a propane vented one?

As long as it is listed for use in a manufactured home, it will be fine.

Very interesting. My MH came with a vent free gas fired wood burning stove in the living room. Installed by the dealer. I do have a CO2 detector and only use it as a decorative accent in the living. It is however on a second thermostat in the event we lose power.

Did you mean CO (carbon monoxide) detector instead of a CO2 (carbon dioxide) detector?
