damaged homes for sale
damaged homes for sale
It was mentioned to me by a college professor of mine, that I could contact an insurance company that might have wrecked or damaged modular homes that they have paid claims on for sale, or a dealer or builder that may have storm/tornado or scratch and dent models for sale. I have been searching for several days with no luck finding a link to such a web site. Could you provide me with any resources or information that might turn me in the right direction?
Re: damaged homes for sale
Most states would not allow a totaled home be sold for use again..It most often is sold for salvage only..
There are plenty of dealer with used homes for sale...Check with dealer in your area...moving costs are very high and national web sites would be of little help..
This web site is supported by advertisers of quality in the industry..You might check out the auction company with a link to the right from here...
Also..there is a banner ad at the bottom of the page from a large lender in the industry who sells as is...This companies repo liquidations are as fairly priced as any in the industry...Find the banner ad at the bottom of the page..
Then...there is the multiple listing service on the left side of this page...many are listed by dealers...but many are for sale by owners...I am sure some of them have scratches and dents...Check them out..
You have found the 1 web resource that can help you with all your needs in the manufactured home community..

Re: damaged homes for sale
DO you know what kind of pricing those houses go for at hudson and marshall? I called them an all he could tell me was that they go in different prices. Like a ball park range. Also do u have to pay just to go to the auction? thanks
Re: damaged homes for sale
Prices run the gamut of figures..depends on the home and condition..
Most often these auctions are free...but to bid you must have a letter of credit from your bank for the funds...They are always sold as is where is and usually have to be moved within a few days...

Re: damaged homes for sale
Hudson & Marshall MH Auctions are very exciting events. One big reason is because you never know what the prices will be like until the bidding ends. The ultimate price at auction is many times considerably lower than almost any other place.
Most auctions offer NO FINANCING so you must be prepared to pay in full the day of the auction. There is no warranty or guarantee of any kind. There may be no wheels or axels included. Typically you will have just a few days to remove the home.
This is makes a great venue for professional retailers, dealers, developers, and park owners, who are in the business of moving, installing and renovating manufactured homes. In most states the public is welcome to attend and participate.
Just remember when you buy at auction you buy where is as is. If you are in the market to purchase a home for your own use you would be wise to have all your permits, contractors and financing set to go before you purchase at auction. If you don’t have a good working knowledge of framed structures, the dynamics of transporting homes and renovation costs you need to have someone who can make these estimates accompany you.
If you can handle all these things that the retailer normally would then you can save considerably. Attend a few auctions just to observe. There is no cost to attend. The action moves very fast. I have seen them sell at the rate of a home a minuet. When your ready to become a bidder go to the auction grounds a day or 2 before the auction and walk thru the homes. Take your time and consider all the possibilities.
