Moving from one zone to another
Moving from one zone to another
We bought a single wide mobile home in New Mexico and now want to move it to Colorado. The roof load is not rated for Colorado's zone. Will this be a problem, as far as the inspection goes? That is, if we take the home to Colorado and set it up, will the inspector then tell us we're not "legal" in Colorado? Can we modify the roof ourselves to make it meet the higher load rating? Any advice on this problem?
Re: Moving from one zone to another
In answer to your question, the local inspector in Colorado could very well say the home is not up to par for the area.
Is it possible to "upgrade" the roof load, anything is possible. But, it may turn out to be a more aggressive improvement than the whole thing is worth.
Maybe selling the home and getting a new one in Colorado is the best answer
