HELP - need info
Is a dealer (seller) required by law to provide a buyer with any kind of good faith estimate as to the costs associated with the preparation of the property and siting of the home and utlities costs? If so, is there a timeframe for delivery of that estimate? If it is not a law, is it common -or good - practice to do so?

Re: HELP - need info
Greg - you need to re-post your query in a different location (as it is not in response to my posting). I suggest you click on "New Topic" and then enter a Subject of something like: Need MH Park architect in So. CA
Why? Because people that come to this site and read my posting might decide they have no interest in that subject will miss what you posted.
Good luck...........Bill

Re: HELP - need info
There is no law involved here...
It would be hard to believe a dealer could sell very many homes without helping with land prep...but in some areas of the country..land prep is up to the consumer...Most places though the dealer is willing to help and must to continue in the business...
If your dealer seems not to be interested..move on to another...
I will say many dealers will not actually spend the money and time to develop accurate complete estimates unless they know you are ready..willing and able to buy...They should be able to give you good ball park estimates early in your discussions...but detailed estimates will require site inspections..even permits in some areas...
