What is an approximate cost to tie down a home? I'm in the process of buying a home in Ithaca New York and the lender requires the home to be tied down.
thanks

we charge 35.00 per anchor plus a service call ,( NC ) may be higher there, you should have 14 to 20 anchors , depending on the size of the home

You should know that not only does your lender require tie downs, but the HUD code does as well.
You would be wise to investigate some of the other anchoring systems (OTI, or Vector) they cost the same but do a much better job.

$35.00 for each anchor is unreasonably high. The anchors and bolts and straps cost only about $8.00. They use an anchor machine to auger them in and then put on the straps. 10 minutes tops per anchor. Danny's prices seem high.
Oh well, if he can get it good for him.

Scott,
i don't know where you live but , here its clay and rock, anchor machines are 500 generators are 2500 , insurance ,fuel, wear and tear and my guys don't work for free...
HMMMMM! should be 45.00 per anchor.
as for the OLIVER systems , and MINUTE MAN , and also the VECTOR , you would probably still be looking at the same monies.

I was only giving you a hard time. Your price is not high and yes the labor, equipment, fuel and all does cost a fortune. Good luck and have a great holiday.
