I am looking to purchase a Mondular home called Great Plains Resisential Homes Inc. The company is localated Adel Ga. They just recently located in Sysvister Ga. Is there anything you can tell me about them? I know they are a small company. Thanks for any help you can give me. Ed

Small company...new company...no track record...Remember...to build homes in GA..there is NO regulation or licensing involved..Home designs and specs have to be approved by the Department of Community Affairs...BUT..they do not regulate the financial stability of the builder or contractors involved...on the basic construction.....Always it is a buyer beware business..

Remember...they will ask about your financial capability to buy the home...you should not be afraid to make them prove their financial capability to build and back up the home..Check with a real estate attorney for good advice before you buy from a small builder in GA..

It should also be noted that modular homes in GA MUST be off-frame. This will add about $10,000 to the price of the home and will increase the time it takes before you can move in.
