Palm Harbor - No Plywood!!

We visited the PH factory yesterday and were told that they will not do plywood because T & G OSB is sufficient. I was under the impression that Plywood was always the best. Do we rule them out because of this or is it truly ok. We have two small children and will be putting this home on a permanent foundation.

Thanks again for your expertise and opinion.

Must be a regional thing because they offer plywood in the Texas plants. OSB is a good product and shouldn't be a concern. The real concern is worth particle board (cresdeck/novadeck) because they absorb moisture and swell where OSB does not.

I have to agree, I wouldn't rule out OSB. The manufactured home my wife and I are buying uses OSB floor decking. Plywood is getting so expensive most MH and stick homes are going towards OSB. Like jgn said, just stay away from particle board because of the warping. OSB has supposedly been proven to have the strength of plywood.
