Could someone tell me how far down the electric companys bury their wires from the transformer to the meter and hook up on the house.The reason I ask is I plan on having a garage added on in the future and I just came back from the job site where i saw they had put flags in the ground marking the route they are planning to take.This route runs right threw where my garage will be.Will the wires be in the way of the garage foundation? The plans I gave the electric company are clearly marked that this area is for a future garage. Thanks for any help.

There usually buried about 3 ft deep.I think the easiest solution to your problem is to get in touch with the electrical company and tell them where you want the line buried.As long as it doesnt interfer with anything pre existing they should go along with the change.Bear in mind if added length is added you may have to pay the difference.
