I am seeking advice on the least expensive way to junk and/or demolish mobile homes. I manage mobile home parks in Missouri in the Kansas City area and the alternatives I have been able to find are rather expensive. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks. Phil

I love this question! And, I have posted on it before; but got no feedback. You don't say where you live or tell about your surrounding area, so let's just consider this if you aren't in a park and you've got your own land.

Fire departments need real life training for their fire crews. They need places where they can control, but create real training situations.

So, I'd try getting an appointment with my town fire cheif and propose the following.
"I have a mobile home that I want to get rid of for the least expense possible. You, on the other hand, have firefighters that need practical training in real life situations, but in a controlled environment. I'll provide you with my mobile home so you can burn it down any way you want.....IF....you'll get a crew out to do the cleanup after the deed is done............Oh yah....and I want to keep my garage so you can't torch it!"

I know a couple folks who have done this with houses; but not a mobile home. Sad too, because a mobile home is a much more dangerous situation for both occupants and fire fighters. I'm thinking you might get a nibble or two.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the suggestion!

That is a really interesting way to deal with it. I will try it and let you know how it turns out.

Thanks again!
