warranty repair

Where do you go when a manufacture will not honor their warranty? We purchased a Karsten home in June 2003 and have nothing but trouble. Karsten's warranty states that "The Karsten Company warrants your new home to be free from defects in all materials and workmanship during the all important first year" and "against substantial defect in its basic structure for five years from the date of the original delivery to you".

I have been requesting service since January on several items. They have told me that someone should be calling me to set up appointment but still no one has. I have followed their protocol by notifying the dealer first, then the manufacture and I have even cc the plants general manager with no success. What good is a warranty if you can't get them to fix it?

These are item that are covered under the warranty and Karsten has agreed that they are covered yet they will not fix them. Where do I go from here?

Depends on what kind of problems you are talking about...HUD will process claims..this is usually done by a state agency in most states..This link will take you to the HUD complaint site..There is a toll free number there..they will direct you to the correct state agency..or..you could post which state you are in and I will get the info..
