To whom it may concern:
My name is Rodger. I am a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
I have seen many of the manufactured home models of today and have come up with a couple of questions.
Why couldn't Habitat for Humanity consider buying or seeking in-kind donations of manufactured homes that have been repossesed?
While it is true that most of the construction work would be completed, there would still be a considerable amount of sweat equity hours that would have to be spent in preparing the propery.
Are there dealers that are involved with Habitat for Humanity in this or another way?
I own a business where I pick up axles and tires from the construction sites where the manufactured homes are set up. I see left over building materials at these sites that are in perfect condition but I don't know if they are being used elsewhere or taken to the dump.
Habitat for Humanity has re-store locations across the country where these materials can be donated for the purpose of either using them in there construction of homes or resale the product for raising money for the purchase of specific materials they need to build their homes.
Is this something that is already widely known in the Manufactured Home industry?
