Hi,

I'm considering purchasing a Dutch Milennium Model #160-31. Does anyone currently own something from the Dutch Millennium series and what are your opinions?

Thanks in advance for any help. This is a big decision!

Cheers,
Michelle

Sorry to follow-up my own message, but just thought I pass on more info.

First off, it's Dutch Model 1680-31 - I forgot the 8 in my previous post. It's a 16X80 singlewide.

My problem is that I LOVE the way it looks. Gorgeous master bath, fireplace, sunken kitchen, skylights, etc. However, I also want to make sure that it's structurally sound. Here are a few details:

7 1/2 foot sidewalls
Recessed frame
crossmembers/outriggers pm every 4' on steel undercarriage
2 X 6 (14') or 2X8 (16') floor joist 16" OC
Full length wall studs
5/8" floor decking
30 lb. PSF roof load
water resistant underlayment
nominal 3/12 roof pitch
3/8" exterior blackboard
2 X 6 facia backer
aluminum facia
vented eaves all around
double 4 Dutch Lap Vinyl siding w/metal starter strip.
all copper wiring
brass plumbing fittings
water shut offs throughout

Comments as to whether the above are good/bad? Is there anything else I should ask the dealer about?

Thanks again for any help.

I'd try to upgrade the 3/8 inch blackboard for 1/2 osb or better.

Hi again,

Thanks a lot for your response. I'm actually looking to buy the display model at a discount so I don't think anything can be changed.

Can you explain what the blackboard is? Is this something that could cause major problems if not upgraded?

Thanks in advance.
