does any know why Homes of Merit would put a vent fan in the guest bedroom ?
I understand they put the vent fans in the bathrooms to get rid of moisture, ect.. but why in the spare bedroom ? someone from the factory doing warranty work said I should turn this vent fan on if a hurricane is coming. he said they are doing it with all of the new homes but he did not know exactly what it had to do with a hurricane . my home was built in the Lake City, FL factory. I am really curious about this one.

As silly as it sounds, on certain models this is the least expensive way to comply with ventilation requirements.Plus its a good conversation starter! As for as I know it has nothing to do with hurricanes.Wouldn't it be great if all we had to do to protect ourselves from a hurricane was to turn on our bath fans.
