knocking out a wall

I am living in a two bedroom mobile home and the living room is small. Can I knock out the wall between the living room and the front bedroom without causing any damage to the structure of the house?

When we visited the Silvercrest showroom, the salesperson we talked to mentioned several times that:

"All floorplans can be modified IN THE FACTORY, based upon approval of your floorplan idea. It can not jeopardize the structural integrity of the home, and if your proposed floorplan concerns those reviewing your plan, they will offer an alternative floorplan to you - one that will keep the structural integrity of the home, but one that will keep your needs in mind."

Based upon this information, it sounds to me that you might be doing more damage than good if you try and do this yourself. I would call around to some local manufacturers to see what advice they offer you. If you have a floorplan of your home, I'd bring that with you - and indicate what you are proposing to do. Since you wouldn't be there to purchase something from them, they may not give you the time of day, so I think I would call first for advice. But, no matter what, I would consult a professional if I were considering something like this instead of doing it myself.
