I am interested in leasing a MH in Jacksonville, FL, for approximately one year. The property is already paid for, and the sewer/electric hookup on already on site, but I do not know how to go about leasing a MH. Any suggestions?
Also, I would like to know about any permits I would need to do this. Thanks!
can you lease a MH in Jacksonville, FL?
Re: can you lease a MH in Jacksonville, FL?
You might check with a local retailer, however, this is not the normal course of business. Generally a park operator or the like will own a home that he will offer for lease, on site, already installed. To have someone supply you with a short term lease, and then move the home to the site, install according to local code, and then remove the home, will be very expensive, and that type of service may well not be available.

Hi Kim. I am in the jax area also. The only lease's
I'm aware of are the construction site, or buisness office trailers. If you only need it for a year, you could put the "woman's" touch on it and probably make it nice. Just a thought. good luck.

Short term leases are very expensive because of the high cost of set up and moving..from time to time some local dealers will offer these kinds of leases..but expect the cost to be very high..
Because the moving costs..set up cost..lost skirting costs will run about $5000 for a single section home..a lease could easily be $1000/mo for 12 months..If you have this type of expectation of cost...check with local dealers with used homes in stock..

if you are wanting to lease only for a year you may be better off renting a house or apartment.
