You mentioned that the top rail is 4 inches wide and to cut the skirting within 2 inches to allow for frost heave. I have checked and in this area we have a frost heave of 3 to 5 inches. Is there any company that makes a wider top back and top front rail to eliminate this problem. I live in a senior park and every year we have this problem. There are about 100 mobile single and double wide homes here and everyone would be happy to find a solution. Our park looks like a stick village in the winter with everyone proping sticks against the skirting to keep it from falling out due to frost heave.

I have never heard of wider trim...but I have heard of wind rods..

Wind rods are are metal rods that run through the joints of the panals..into the top and bottom rails..they give strength to the panals...They are not very expensive..Ask your skirting supplier about them..
