My husband & I have decided on a manufactured home and after receiving responses to my earlier questions (quality of Four Seasons and manufactured homes in general), we've decided to put home on our own land in Michigan (possibly Redford or Southfield).

1st question, I've found 4 lots in my price budget (btwn $5k and $14k, depending on the size lot I choose). What should look for when browsing these lots? I've narrowed it down to lots that have elec/gas on that side of the street.

2nd question, my husband owns a landscaping business and wants to do all the excavation and site prep work. Can we buy our land (in payments) do all the site and prep work, but finance the home, foundation, garage and any other expenses?

Also, the realtor informed me that if we put our home on our own land, it has to conform to the standards of all the other homes on the block. So, last and final question, I've seen on this site how to brick up a manufactured home, but can you purchase a home with a partial brick frontage?
