How about transport costs?

How much per mile is reasonable? Depending on which model, factory etc it's either 310 or 350 miles from factory to location.

Transportation cast vary quite a bit with the home..They involve...

Size..determines the cost of permits..and how many escorts are required..bigger homes will require 2 escorts...each getting about $2.00 per mile..the truck will get about $4.00 per mile..

Height...Over height models (many 4x12 and higher roofs) will also require an additional specialized escort car (at least another $2.00 per mile usually more) and extra equipment on the truck designed to measure the height of various potential obstacles on the road...Bridges come to mind first...but wires...traffic lights..all sorts of things can be in the way..

Route..The various states will tell the driver what route to take...and the shortest is not what the state is concerned about..often routes are much longer..We recently delivered a home that was 92 miles away by the shortest route...but the states involved made us drive 146 miles...to avoid low bridges and highway construction..

Most states like them on the interstates which have wide roads, high overpasses and wide shoulders;even though it might not be the most direct route.
