i'm considering buying a used manu-housing to put on land as a "cottage". do you have any recommendations on preferable brand names? also, i'd love to reside with lap-sided cedar and replace the windows if need be.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cedar siding is used by several manufacturers, and can be purchased for a retrofit
at a building supply. The cost is probably in the $6000. range to do the job, without the windows. My only caution here, is that the home is properly set up with a good footing system, prior to making that kind of additional investment.
