Would you be able to direct me to a source that rates manufactured housing companies by consumer satisfaction. Any recommendations with regard to different brands of manufactured housing quality would be greatly appreciated. Also do you have any advice to offer on how to locate and purchase repossessed mobilehomes.

There are no lists of consumer satisfaction for manufactured homes...It would be very hard to compile..since large manufacturers have so many different products (every plant build different homes..often more than 1 model per plant..all different..some companies have as many as 45 plants..150 different products)...and they change from month to month...

The book store here offers 2 books by Randy Eaton...One is a comparison...but not of consumer satisfaction...more a comparison of construction standards...The other is a general primer and very good...Fills you in on various construction features...What should be in a good home...features not to overlook and features that would be nice to have if you can afford them...If you buy this book and get up to speed on these homes..decide what you want in yours ..then find a manufacturer in your area that offer the specs...

If you study the complaints of dissatified consumers..you will find by far more problems with the dealer...Be sure you check out your dealer...get references..check BBB...check with consumer agencies in your state..check with license authorities in your state..

The more information that you have...the more likely all will be smooth and without problems...
