drain problem

Hello, the drain in my shower has begun to drain slowly causing water to stand. However the strainer that is in the shower is metal and will not lift out. How would you suggest I remedy this problem? Thanks for your reply.

Generally you can just use a plunger and blow the clog out.

If it really becomes bad go to a hardware store and get some acid drain. It is strong stuff and will open almost anything. Wear gloves, mask and don't breath when you pour it in but it does work wonders espically with hair and soap buildup.
