financing

We have a used mobile home picked out and are having difficulty finding financing. It seems that no one wants to lend for a home which will be moved onto the White Mountain Apache Reservation. Do you have any resources for finding a lender? We want this particular home because it is used and a good price. The dealers have new homes for more than we want to pay.
Thank you

Are you Indian? You should be able to get a loan or grant from the tribe council. They do that where I'm from, but you have to make a formal request and have a good reason.

I think I heard someware that banks don't like to loan money to people who live on reservation because if the person goes into default on the loan they have to have consent from the triable council to do a repo. Ofcourse the banks won't say that.
