How to remedy a condensation problem
How to remedy a condensation problem
I have an older mobile home. (A 1970 14 by 70 Community) I had new trusses put in under original roof and insulation and plastered ceilings. I went to propane heat. It was extremely cold this past winter here in Ohio and drops of water started driping from ceiling. It was not a leak from snow or rain. When it was extremely cold out and warm inside, water would just pour out of the ceilings. Now all my new plastered ceilings are ruined and falling down. I had big chunks and even whole sheets of the drywall come loose. Water ran down my newly painted walls and now they are all stained. I don't believe there is enough ventalation in the area between the roof and ceiling. I was told that if I put on a rubber roof, (Not the liquid kind) that this would eliminate the condensation. Also my windows sweat alot and I have brown stains under windows also. Do you have any suggestions? How to I find rubber roof contractors in my area?

Sounds like the required vapor barrier was removed from the original structure, and not replaced. Without this vapor barrier, the condition you describe will continue.
